Vagus nerve stimulation
is a type of highly successful neuromodulation therapy for refractory seizures and depression. In the future VNS therapy will be used for CHF and likely other conditions. Tiny electrical impulses are delivered to the Vagus Nerve in the neck to modulate brainstem activity in the case of VNS for seizures and depression.
