Deep brain stimulation
Deep brain stimulators are used in the treatment of parkinson's and tremors. A person is scanned with a MRI or ct frame on their head. A burrhole is then made and a stimulator wire is passed into a precise deep brain target. This is connected to a stimulator which placed under the skin. They are very expensive but do work very well.
