Clorazepate
Clorazepate (brand name tranxene) is a benzodiazepine (minor tranqilizer). Its active metabolite is desmethyldiazepam, which has a long half life in the body. It is not frequently used today as a tranquilizer, because it is fairly sedating, but is mostly used in the treatment of epilepsy and alcohol withdrawal.
