Artificial insemination
Artificial insemination is the insertion of sperm directly inside the uterine cavity. This is performed by passing a tiny catheter through the cervical canal and into the uterine cavity. Semen is typically washed prior to the procedure. This procedure is also referred to as intrauterine insemination or iui.
