Uterine ablation

Uterine ablation

Share

Link copied

Uterrine ablation is a procedure used to destroy the thin lining of the uterus that bleeds each month. It is often destroyed with heat but can be done with freezing (cryoablation). Must be family complete. When performed for fibroid bleeding doesnt address the problem (fibroid) directly, may not work at all, and doesn't address the bulk symptoms often seen with fibroids (pain, urinary frequency).
