Protein in urine
Protein in urine is a test result in which a higher than normal level of protein is in the urine sample. Testing a concentrated sample of urine (such as when a person has not drank fluids for many hours) can incorrectly show a high level of urine protein, and so re-testing should be done. Kidney disease and other serious medical problems can cause increased urine protein.
