Colorectal cancer
Colorectal cancer is cancer of the colon or rectum. The cells lining the colon or rectum become abnormal and grow uncontrollably. They start as polyps. Symptoms include blood in the stool, constipation, loss of appetite, and weight loss. This cancer can be prevented through early screening, if a polyp is detected during a colonoscopy and excised. Additionally, a high fiber diet with plenty of water and a regular bowel regime helps.
