Taking ACE inhibitor
Blood pressure medications that are commonly prescribed during pregnancy include calcium channel blockers, such as nifedipine, beta blockers, such as metoprolol, and methyldopa. The class of medications to control blood pressure called ACE inhibitors (angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors) are potentially harmful to the baby and should not be taken during pregnancy.
