Familial cold urticaria
Familial cold urticaria (also known as familial cold autoinflammatory syndrome, fcas) is an autosomal dominant condition characterized by rash, conjunctivitis, fever/chills and arthralgias elicited by exposure to cold. There is a genetic predisposition nad treatment with anakinra, il-1 receptor antagonist also used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, has been shown to be effective.
