Latex allergy is a condition in which a person is allergic to proteins in latex, a fluid from the rubber tree. Allergic reactions can range from mild to severe. A person can become allergic from frequent use of latex products such as latex-containing gloves, condoms, rubber bands, balloons, catheters (rubber tubes used to drain urine from the bladder), etc...
