Is it okay to take my prenatal vitamin and my metformin at the same time, before going to bed? Or do any of them lose effectiveness?

OK but... As far as i can tell metformin does not interact with vitamins but you will likely get more benefit from you prenatal vitamin by taking it earlier in the day. While taking a prenatal vitamin is folate (in whole food vitamins) and folic acid (synthetic vitamins) the same? Or is one better than the other?

The same! Folate is another name for folic acid, and for prevention of birth defects, or for any other purpose, there is absolutely no difference in effectiveness between Folic Acid that has been made in the lab and Folic Acid from a natural product. You should definitely take a prenatal vitamin that contains one or the other, but the manufacturing process is up to you! Read more...

Good prenatal vitamin that is gluten and diary free and at the same time small in size? I am 10 weeks pregnant & having a hard time finding a good one.

Rainbow Light or... Rainbow Light Prenatal Petite looks like a good choice: https://labdoor.com/review/rainbow-light-prenatal-petite-mini though Thorne's Basic Prenatal is even better as it has a better form of folate; it has standard sized capsules which you could open up and put in juice if the capsules are too big for you; see https://labdoor.com/review/thorne-research-basic-prenatal-multivitamin. I'm taking prenatal vitamin and iron. But I have read that prenatal vitamin contain iron too. It will not be an overdose of iron if im taking both?

The main reasons. your doctor would recommend an additional iron supplement to your prenatal vitamin is that your prenatal vitamin does not contain the recommended amount (30 mg daily) or your iron level was found to be low/you were told you are anemic. A prenatal vitamin and an iron supplement taken together will often not be tolerated without nausea; separate them. Check with Doc if further questions. Good luck:) Read more...

After taking prenatal vitamin I fell sick to my stomach, is this normal?

Yes but . . . It's normal to feel nauseated during your pregnancy (i'm assuming you're pregnant since you're taking a prenatal vitamin). But you may be more sensitive to some prenatal vitamins than others so experiment by trying different ones. Or try hiding it in your meals. Read more...
