Do I need csection if I only ever had one herpes blister confirmed?

In brief: Perhaps
Once infected with herpes simplex (usually type 2) on the genitalia the virus remains in your body for life, like a squatter. Even though you may not have overt lesions on your genitals there is good evidence that shedding of the virus in the vagina occurs with regularity.
With that history many obstetricians would prefer to deliver your baby through c-section rather than risk neonatal herpes.
