This definition from learning disabilities association of america. That said, many people can't spell correctly, but aren't learning disabled. Many doctors can't spell but aren't ld. Many (profession) can't spell but aren't ld, etc, etc., . .

Thanks for the common sense. Aptitude for spelling seems to me to be more or less random, and has little to do with one's overall success in life.
