Are sores on scalp from a food allergy?

Unlikely. The most common skin symptoms of food allergy are hives, swelling, itching, and flare of eczema. Usually a rash triggered by foods is located on the face and affects lip, tongue or is generalized. It would be unlikely for the rash to be located just on the scalp. A dermatologist could be helpful in identifying the trigger.
