I have occasional sore throat, especially in the morning and pain at bottom of rib cage, but i don't have indigestion, could this be acid reflux?

In brief: Early morning

Sore throat associated with acid taste at your mouth and heartburn is associated with gerd.
Allergies can give you early am sore throat. Rib cage pain is different. If painful during palpation you may have a costochondritis or chest wall pain due to heavy lifting exercise. If you have gerd you need to quit drinking. See a physician for good history or physical.
