Do x-rays tell if I have rheumatoird arthritis?

Not really. There may be no changes on x-ray in the early stages. X-ray findings are not necessary in the diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis (ra), but x-rays can add in the diagnosis or following the treatment of ra. Diagnosis can be very straightforward or quite complex for ra. The right diagnosis is important since it needs to be treated to prevent irreversible joint destruction.
