Allergic rhinitis. Itchy watery nose associated with sneezing is usually a symptom of allergic rhinitis. Make notes of when these symptoms occur, to help you identify what might be triggering it. Over the counter antihistamines (Zyrtec, Claritin) may help, but some people find more relief with nasal steroid sprays such as Rhinocort Aq (over the counter) or Nasonex (mometasone) (Rx). Nasal allergy - sneezing, watery eyes and allergic to dust, season change and unnatural air viz a/c, fans etc. Take allegra tablets (120-180 mg), spray?

Mixed rhinitis. Sounds like perennial mixed rhinitis with both allergic and non-allergic triggers. Evidenced based medicine says topical nasal steroid spray is primary treatment, topical or oral antihistamines next and possibly montelukast (singular). Allergen immunotherapy can also be very helpful. See your pcp or board certified allergist. Read more...

10 mth baby has little puffy eyes no pain n itchin seems allergic eyelid doc adv allegra (fexofenadine) sy and a multivitamin its been days but its same. Wat to do?

Get testing. Puffy eyes in a child is sometimes allergic but sometimes not. If the allergy medication is failing, I would revisit your child's doctor and get tested for other conditions. Kidney disease, for example, can cause puffy eyes in kids, without redness or itching. Hope this helps. . Read more...

I took an allegra (fexofenadine) for my allergies, but I still neezing, itchy eyes, itchy nose, and constant sneezing, what should I do to help?

Keep It Simple. Well the obvious and seemingly silly answer here is the number one rule of allergy treatment.....Allergen avoidance. This may not always be possible but if you suffer from allergies often and have to take meds most of the year....You may benefit from allergy testing to determine what's going on. There are other medications which can help in addition to allegra (fexofenadine)...Talk to the doc. Read more...
You may need steroid. Allegra (fexofenadine) is more preventive than curative for allergies. You may need low dose steroids like Prednisone for quick relief. Of course if you have chronic allergies you may need the immunocap test done to find out what you are allergic to and if you are a candidate for immunotherapy or in simple words allergy shots for desensitization. Please consult a family doctor or an allergist to discuss this. Read more...
