There r a lot of healthy food that r gluten
free, such as, eggs, meat, nuts, peas and beans, corn, potato, yam, rice, taro, even buckwheat.
But gluten is in disguise in many processed foods, like ketchup. If you r not going to boil your own chickpea or yam for snacks, u will really have to read labels. There r more gluten free snacks now. Local health food stores may have more choices.
