Unfortunately CP is often passed in oro-nasal secretions for 1-2 days before the first spots appear.(leading to frustration on finding source) debris from blisters can spread CP until the last blisters have dried.
Some offer 1 day before until day 7 of the rash as the general period of infectivity.
