Is drixoral a prescription drug, or is it sold over the counter? Is there a non-prescription drug which will have the same results as drixoral?

1 doctor agrees
In brief: It is OTC
It is a combination of two medicines.
.Pseudoephedrine (decongestant) and dexbropheniramine (antihistamine), common ingredients in many of the otc cold/allergies medications. If you read the labels, you will find that many otc have similar combo decong/antihis for cold/allergies...So, try some to see if it will help. If not, consult your doc... Good luck.

In brief: Decongestant-antihis
This and other otcs for treating congestion have had a bit of a shadow cast over them the past few years because of concerns about the stimulant decongestants like pseudoephedrine(used in meth labs)and phenylephrine.
Lean towards nonsedating antihistamines if you can.
