If I have brittle nails do I have hypothyroidism?

Quite a leap. Brittle nails is one sign of hypothyroidism, but it's also a sign of washing too many dishes, which is a lot more common. People with low thyroid function exhibit lots of other signs and symptoms too, such as fatigue, thickened skin, hair loss, etc, etc. If you really have reason to suspect that you have hypothyroidism, see a doctor and get a blood test.
