Does everyone with motor tics have tourette's?

NO. We have simple tics (habit spasms) sometimes complicated affecting more than one focus and sometimes accompanied by vocal sounds. A fairly uncommon form usually inherited and occurring in childhood consisting of motor tics, vocal sounds and accompanied by involuntary utterances of obscenities is called tourette syndrome, the distinction is not always clear.
