In brief: Unpleasant sensation

The symptoms of pain include any unpleasant sensation.
The pain may be described as sharp, electrical, or burning. Constant or intermitten in occurrance. Aggravating and alleviating factors should also be noted. Where the pain originates from and where it spreads to is helpful in identifying the source of the pain.

In brief: Many pain symptoms

We try to identify through precise injections of local anesthetics exactly where the pain is coming from (you can't see pain on any imaging studies like mri's, ct scans or x-rays) and once we identify where the pain originates there are different things we can do about it.
This approach works best when pain is localized to one part of the body. Most of what we do is related to spinal pain.
