Can you get nageleria fowleri from breathing in a raindrop through your nose?

No. Rainwater is filtered in the atmosphere but can contain chemicals. N. Fowleri is found in fresh water like ponds, lakes, rivers, and hot springs. It is also found in soil, near warm-water discharges of industrial plants, and unchlorinated swimming pools in an amoeboid or temporary flagellate stage. It is not believed to be in ocean water either.
Agree wi Dr. Bansal. Naegleria fowleri is most often found in warm lakes, rivers, hot springs, warm water discharged from industrial plans,& poorly chlorinated or un-chlorinated pools. Have read of no cases transmitted by raindrops.
