In brief: RC

Inflammed tissues take time to go back to normal even after rc.
If it does not go down in the following days go back to your dentist. If swelling get worse that is not a good sign.

In brief: Infection or swellin

Root canal is essentially surgery on a tooth and removal of infected nerve [pulp].
If the cheek was swollen prior to the root canal therapy and is still swollen then the infection has not resolved. See you dentist immediately and antibiotics are probably indicated.

In brief: Infection

How long ago was it done? Are you on antibiotics? You need to back in and see who did the root canal and be evaluated, soon.
