In brief: Usually

Usually taken in the morning as it can affect sleep for most.
But take it depending on how you reeact to it. If you take it and it makes you tired then take it at bedtime. If you take it and it keeps you awake then take in the morning. Once you learn when the best time to take it is for you then take it each day at that time.

In brief: What's best for you

Most people take Cymbalta (duloxetine) in the am and tolerate it well.
However, some people feel mildly tired and i let them take it in the pm. As long as it doesn't interfere with sleep than that is fine. If you are experiencing GI side effects on a high dose you may need to divide the dose and take it twice a day. Do take it daily around the same time each day.
