Depends. Some temporary mild increase in liver function blood tests can occur early after gallbladder surgery. If there is worsening liver blood tests, jaundice, vomiting, increasing abdominal pain, recurrent vomiting or other concerns, then call and see your surgeon very soon.

Probably normal. It is common to have elevated liver function tests, or lft's after gallbladder removal during the first couple weeks or so postop. Fatty liver, or hepatosteatosis, can also cause slightly elevated lft's. Husband had gallbladder removed 4 days ago. Still have not released him as color of fluid in drain is dark brown and liver enzymes going up. Anyidea?

GI issues. The good news is it does not appear that you have an autoimmune or an inflammatory process. The symptoms may be suggestive of irritable bowel syndrome vs. chronic fatigue vs. other.
