Follow the oral surgeons directions concerning eating, drinking, oral hygiene.
Basically, you don't want to dissolve or dislodge the blood clot protecting the extraction site. If you do, a dry socket may result & will need to be treated to prevent infection & pain.

Just follow the post op instructions. Make sure you don't smoke, use a straw, or eat anything hard or crunchy on the side you had the extraction. If you follow all of your after care instructions you will be fine.
