In brief: Not strenuous

The key to exercise and activity in fm is to pace your activity.
Over doing it will lead to worsened pain. Regular moderate activity is best.

In brief: No but it helps

Fibromyalgia is thought to be a chronic condition although it can go into remission (stop hurting for a while) but the pain may come back.
Exercise is the oldest proven modality to treat (alleviate or reduce) the symptoms of fibromyalgia.

In brief: No

Moderate daily exercise will help.
Strenuous exercise is likely to be very painful. I suggest a more regular moderate approach.
