I have stage 2 colon cancer and just had a colectomy the oncologist is performing an expensive blood test to see next steps what is this test?

Just ask. May be a cea level. This is a marker commonly used to follow colorectal cancer patients to indicate a possible recurrence. In sure your oncologist would be happy to explain it to you. All you have to do is ask. Best if luck. Hope this helps!
Ask the oncologist. Many different tests available - ask your oncologist.
