In brief: Type i diabetes weig
In type one and for that puposes type two diabetes when it is treated with insulin, you tend to gain weight as a result of Insulin therapy.
That is a side effect of Insulin therapy. You need to continue calorie restrction and exercise to minimise the effect of insulin. So good luck and keep trying.

In brief: Probably
Agree with dr. Khanna.
One side effect of Insulin is weight gain. Although you are not seeing anything yet, beneficial effects might still be occuring. As you change your diet and become more active, you might be able to lower your Insulin usage while keeping bs the same or lower. This in turns will decrease the weight gain effect of insulin.
