Is aloe vera juice good for diverticulitis?

No. It won't hurt but will not help. Diverticulitis is an infection around a diverticula and needs to be treated with antibiotics. If they do not resolve the infection, then surgery is required. To reduce the formation of diverticula and possibly prevent diverticulitis, dietary fiber is needed. The simplest way to get enough fiber is to take metamucil or an equivalent daily.

This can lead to abscess, perforation, fistula formation, bleeding. Treatment is antibiotics (surgery if recurrent). Aloe vera is pretty useless here. Read more...

Drinking too much of it can cause stomach upset or diarrhea. Maintaining balance and not focusing on too much of one thing is important. Read more...

Peace and good health. If you are on an acid blocker and switch (ask doc first) you may have a rebound effect for a while. Read more...
