In brief: Affirming provider
Finding an affirming provider who knows how to prescribe hormonal therapy for transgender people can be difficult depending where you are.
The glma provider directory at www.Glma.Org can help. Your provider may want you to be seen by a health specialist who can also care for your eating disorder as this is part of the wpath (world professional association for transgender health) guidelines.

In brief: Good question
Transpeople have every possible array of conditions that any other person would have.
In my experience gender dysphoria (gid) is the "500 lb gorilla in the room." many times other neuropsychiatric conditions diminish or disappear when the gid is treated. Treatment for gid takes years, so initiating early phases of treatment allows immediate relief of gid & other matters may be more easily managed.
