In brief: Not always but..

Not all hospitals have an inpatient hospice but some do.
Much hospice care is provided in the home with visiting hospice services allowing the patient to be with family and friends in a more comfortable environment than a hospital.

In brief: Some do...

Very few hospitals provide "hospice" care in the hospital but many hospitals have comfort care protocols for patients who only have hours or days.
Many hospitals now have palliative care teams which can not only provide symptom relief, psychosocial and spiritual support for patients receiving active treatment for chronic illnesses they often times will assist with comfort care.

In brief: No.

Most hospitals do not have hospice services.
Some hospitals do, or will provide beds to hospices for inpatient care. Hospices are generally independent community agencies, providing most of their care at peoples homes. A growing number of hospitals do offer palliative care services.
