Are donor corneas stored somewhere in the country while waiting for somebody with a perfect match?

In brief: No

There is a waiting list for corneas as they need to be fresh.
However, the cornea is 'immunologically privileged' and so the histocampatibility match is of little consequence. So anybody who needs one can take a proper cornea from any donor. So there is no storage needed.

In brief: No

Corneas do not usually require the kind of matching needed for other organs.
