Really canker sore? A virus--ugh! If you use antivirals they will be gone in 7 days--if you do nothing they will be gone in 1 week. Sorry, but there is some truth to the sarcasm. Acyclovir ointment can be applied to the sores. Anesthetic creams can reduce acute pain. I recommend keeping yourself fit to fight the viruses with healthy foods and proper sleep.
Ease the pain...... It is not known what causes canker sores (aphthous ulcers) although it is believed that stress and irritation to the mucous membranes of your mouth may play a role. There isn’t much around to make them heal any faster. There are many products that you can get in your pharmacy that are otc that either numb the area or provide a temporary covering to make them feel better. Avoid spicy\acidic food.
Laser. The will go away in 7-10 days. Lasers have been shown to reduce that time as well as reduce pain.
Reduce acid. Canker sores are very common in people's mouth due to acid. Some people's saliva is especially acidic and by significantly limiting acid consumption and by using antacid medications like maalox for mylanta you can reduce mouth acidity and reduce canker sores. Stay away from sodas coffee and tea.
It's not. Try an mixture of milk of magnesia (magnesium hydroxide) or peptobismal and benedryl.
It doesn't. Canker sores last 10-14 days regardless of what you put on them. What you put on them simply decreases the pain! I find otc kanka to be best!

Gargle and avoid... Since you mouth is teeming with bacteria, and the sore is the result of a herpes reactivation to due the virus perceiving stress: 1. Reduce the bruden of bacteria near the wound by gargling with listerine or salt water 60seconds twice a day until the sores go away (the bacterial load near the sore may delay healing), and 2. Avoid sour, citrus, acidic, spicey foods which will irritate the sore.
Nothing to take. There really is no bandage you can use to help a cut in your mouth. It will just take time to heal. Watch spicy and acidic foods in all situations. As for canker sores...There are some medicines that can ease the pain and perhaps shorten the duration. But those have to be taken very close to the initial time of the outbreak.
