1 doctor agrees
In brief: Six-8 weeks
I would agree that 6-8 weeks is a reasonable time.
I have patients who have had sex at an earlier date but this risks the possiblity of wound breakdown and other problems. Generally speaking most wounds are healed by 6 weeks, a brief period of scar massage, desensitzation therapy and vaginal dilation may be advised prior to resuming sexual intercourse.

In brief: Depends
Only your surgeon can tell you for certain, because there may be issues unique to you or your procedure, but 6-8 weeks would be a typical waiting period.
