In brief: Acne

Don't wash your face with body soap.
Also don't use alcohol or comedogenic products on your face. Try to find an acne wash system like neutrogena, pangea organics, or something with benzoyl peroxide. Following low sodium diet might help too, since acne-causing bacteria like salt. You can try to prevent spreading bacteria onto your face by not touching your face, washing your phone, etc.

In brief: Acne medicines

Acne is a disease of the hair follicle unit, caused by tiny, thick pieces of sebum, comedones.
There are three general types of medicines that treat acne: retinoids, like retin a (tretinoin) , cause the comedones to come out of the pores. Benzoyl peroxide, which kills germs and reduces inflammation in the clogged pores, and antibiotics, both by mouth or as a lotion, like cleocin, or tetracyclines.
