In brief: Yes

Medications called benzodiazepines can be used for an acute case of speaking phobia.
Even better is toastmaster's which is a mutual support group where everyone practices giving talks in a less threatening environment.

In addition, if the problem is a performance anxiety, propranolol can be used about an hour before the presentation to essentially trick your brain into believing iti is not anxious.

In brief: VRT for Phobias

Phobias and anxieties respond well to Virtual Reality Therapy(VRT).
VRT is exposure therapy in a safe environment. The research suggests VRT is 90% effective. Seek out a therapist who uses VRT in your area. You can find providers through www.psious.com, www.limbix.com, or www.virtuallybetter.com.
