Can stress cause fever?

Stress/Fever. Anxiety, among other symptoms, can present with cold or hot flushes, shivering, feeling warm, but true fever can be from other causes such as immune system issues or inflammation/infection.
Stress/fever. Stress does not usually cause a real fever. A real fever is said to be 100.4. Some people have a very high resting body temperature naturally. Symptoms such as feeling flushed, or chilled even with a normal temperature can be from anxiety. So can shaking, and looking flushed. If you really have a temp over100 degrees consistently, see your pcp to eval, but these other symptoms can be anxiety.
