In brief: ? related

Lypoma's do not hurt. Changes like this should be evaluated.

In brief: Lipoma

it would be unlikely that a benign lipoma would cause this.
It may be more of a neuralgia. I would check it out. An MRI may be needed

In brief: Have it removed?

Lipomas are benign.
They can sometimes cause pain. They can usually be excised, many times as an office procedure.
