If he is willing to talk to someone i would hope he would seek a full medical evaluation for his troubles. Men have a difficult time admitting they struggle with libido, even when this is common and easily addressed.

Sex drive can be complex, usually more so for women tha men but it is important to rule out "organic" or health causes of low libido. This can be due to erectile dysfunction and that can be a symptom of arterial or heart dieseae, medications, etc
