Should different topical ointments be ever mixed? Can you tell me what side effects/if any could happen if you mix ammonium lactate cream, ketoconazal shampoo, betamethasone ointment, clobetasol propionate ointment?

The Betamethasone and the clobetasol are both steroids, therefore it is probably not a good idea to mix these together since steroids can cause thinning of the skin when used in high amounts or over prolonged periods of time. My 5 month yr old son was treated for diaper rash with clobetasol propionate & now I have noted changes in the size of his testicles.....VERY SCARED!!

Have a Dr see him. It is possible that he may have an allergic reaction to the clobetasol or have an infection there that developed after the diaper rash. In any case, it needs to be evaluated by a doctor in order to get the proper treatment. Read more...
