In brief: Recurrent infections

Children will experience more colds and infections especially if they attend daycare, exposed to cigarette smoke or were forn very premature.
Chronic or recurrent congestion, cough may indicate allergies and/or asthma. Less common is an immune system problem predisposing children to recurrent, severe or unusual infections. An allergist can assist in sorting these out.
