Possible. Research has been done looking at magnesium supplements as well as same (supplements containing Amino Acid derivatives) in fibromyalgia pain however results were inconclusive. Further research needs to be done. Discuss with your primary doctor about supplements as there may be interactions with other medication you might be taking.
Not Really. I have treated fibro for two decades and it maybe the most difficult condition to treat. Prescription drugs are not very helpful. Supplements such as melatonin for sleep may help some. We have tried B12 for fatigue with minimal results. Co-enyme q10 and malic acid have been used to try to increase muscle strength and decrease pain. Best non prrescription treatment remains good diet and exersise.
