Can there be anything i can do to make the burning sensation in the back of my throat stop?

In brief: Throat burning

Can be caused by nasal discharge or acid reflux, both of which are quite common.
Because reflux is more likely to burn than post nasal drip, reflux treatment would be the first to try. You could select from antacids (tums, maalox, etc), zantac or prilosec. All are available over-the-counter. Most effective is likely to be prilosec. If that isn't helpful, try an antihistamine like zrytec.
