A receding forehead or hairline is where one loses hair in the frontal scalp and the actual hairline moves up or back towards the crown area.
A maturing hairline can be that also but "mature" hair loss can be more globally where hair is lost more diffusely and slowly over time and makes the scalp hair look thinned.
