The heals of my feet are cracking so deep I'm bleading and struggle walking --- I've also gained about 25+ pounds - why?

Cracked Heels. Cracked heels are a common foot problem that are often referred to as heel fissures. Cracked heels are commonly caused by dry skin (xerosis), and made more complicated if the skin around the rim of the heel is thick (callus). When the fissures or cracks are deep, they are painful to stand on and the skin can bleed and become infected. Glue the cracks together with crazy glue. Rx-keralyt gel.
Fissures. This may present psoriasis or a skin infection. Over the counter emollients may help but you need to be seen and evaluated. The weight gain may be related to an under active thyroid which should part of medical evaluation.
