In brief: Not dangerous but...

Licorice root has been used medicinally for thousands of years (it may be the most common herb used in chinese medicine).
It contains glycyrrhizin, high doses of which can cause high blood pressure & fluid retention, but 450 mg/day is not a high dose. I know no evidence licorice helps pssd though i saw one online testimonial. See http://umm.Edu/health/medical/altmed/herb/licorice & my comment.

While licorice is safe and reasonable to try, the fact that one person feels it helped them is not that impressive (are you trying it because of http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/20101203/msgs/972934.html ?). Adrenal fatigue could well be a factor in PSSD but herbs like Ashwagandha, Rhodiola and Ginseng are likely to help more than Licorice. Acupuncture may help to- for another testimonial see http://ssrisexdysfunction.blogspot.com/ You might also consider homeopathy. A holistic doctor can help guide your treatment. Good luck!
