First, if you find a cigarette in your hands, that is a good sign ;-) seriously, nicotine withdrawal causes irritability, strong cravings, high blood pressure, and rapid heart rate.
If you wake up in the morning craving a cig, the addiction is stronger. Smoking cessation requires beating both the addiction and the habit. They are different, and both can be hard to break, but it can be done.
